SUCCESSFUL HORIZON 2020 PROPOSALS: Tips and Tricks on Impact, Proposal and Consortium Management
Date: 12th February 2016
Location: South Kensington Campus
The aim of this half-day workshop was to give College academics, researchers and postdocs insight into how to successfully engage in Horizon 2020 - the EU’s funding programme for research and innovation.
EU project collaboration can be a tremendously rewarding, yet challenging experience. Call requirements are strict, competition is fierce and it generally takes a significant amount of time to prepare a proposal. Nevertheless, chances to obtain funding increase dramatically when one is well prepared, is aware of the intricacies of Horizon 2020, and ensures sufficient support for consortium and proposal management.
This workshop provided College academics, research staff and postdocs with practical insights on Horizon 2020 proposal development.
It did so by briefly touching upon the structure and rationale of Horizon 2020; giving practical tips and tricks on proposal drafting and consortium management and grant preparation, and; outlining the proposal, consortium and project management services offered by the PMO to College academic and research staff.
