Conjugated Heat Transfer

Clean Energy Processes (CEP) Laboratory

The Clean Energy Processes (CEP) Laboratory is based in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. Currently, approximately 40 members are at the core of the laboratory, whose activities have contributed to projects supported by a total income of over £30M over the last 5 years in collaboration with industry, international research centres and universities. Our mission is to conduct significant research on both fundamental aspects of thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat and mass transfer processes, as well as their applications to a range of components, devices, technologies and systems for energy (solar, renewable, waste heat) collection, recovery, conversion and storage. Research in the CEP Laboratory includes theoretical, experimental and modelling activities, and covers the full range of scales from molecules to systems. The research outputs have led to the publication of more than 300 papers to-date on these topics, which have been published in high-impact journals or presented at important international conferences.
